Attention Parents & Families of New RMU Students for Fall 2013

Welcome to RMU! We understand that you are anxious to learn about your student’s housing options here at Robert Morris. To help answer your questions and give you the information you need to assist your student in preparing for their college experience, visit the Room Selection Information section of the Office of Residence Life webpage. All of the information you will need regarding housing options for the 2013-2014 academic year are located within the Room Selection Information webpage. Do keep in mind though that some of the information may change for the upcoming year as we are always updating our campus programs to suit the changing needs of our students. New information will be posted on the web page for incoming students as it becomes available.

Attention Parents & Families of Returning Students:
Room Selection is Here!

Believe it or not, it’s time to start thinking about next year! The Room Selection Process is conducted each spring semester to allow current students the opportunity to select their own living space for the upcoming academic year. Current students participate in various phases of the process based on their total number of earned academic credits.

All resident students receive information regarding the 2013-2014 Room Selection Process in their e-mail in February. Commuter students who wish to participate in the process may pick up a Room Selection Information Packet in the Office of Residence Life or view the information on-line on the Residence Life portion of the RMU web site. E-mails to resident students and postings in the residence halls, student center and in various RMU publications will be aimed at reminding students of upcoming room selection deadlines. Since the information is also available here on the RMU web site, parents and families can keep in touch with the process as well.

All students must submit a Housing Contract and a $250 housing deposit by March 19, 2013 in order to participate in the Room Selection Process. Please note that submission of the contract and deposit does not guarantee a student a particular space on campus. It does guarantee a student the opportunity to participate in the Room Selection Process to select an available residence space. Both the Housing Contract and the deposit must be submitted on-line.

Please visit the Room Selection Information section of the Office of Residence Life webpage to see more information about this important process. It may be helpful to remind your student to help them meet all deadlines throughout the Room Selection Process. Meeting these deadlines gives a student the best chance to get their first choice in housing!
