FACULTY/STAFF > DEPARTMENTS & OFFICES > STUDENT LIFE > RESIDENCE LIFE > COMMUNITY ADVISOR (CA) STAFF
Community Advisor (CA) Staff

At Robert Morris University we understand that a student’s living environment has a significant impact on learning and personal development. Our Residence Life program is focused on supporting residents in their academic programs as well as pro-actively working to contribute to their personal growth and development. Residence Life staff members are educators and advisors working to promote a living-learning community.

Community Advisor’s (CA’s) are an integral part in helping support the Office of Residence Life and its living-learning environments. A CA has many responsibilities including building community in the residence halls through programming, being a familiar first resource to students, enforcing safety and policy regulations as well as balancing his/her own schedule and priorities. Most of all a CA must be an example of a successful Robert Morris student leader.

Becoming a member of the CA staff in the Office of Residence Life is an outstanding leadership experience!

"Taylor Miller is a Sophomore Psychology major who is aspiring to join the early law school admission program at RMU. Along with being a second-year Community Advisor, Taylor works on campus as a Colonial Ambassador, is involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh, is an active member of ASA, and is a sister of Delta Phi Epsilon, where she holds two leadership positions. Off campus Taylor enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her church, where she participates in many activities and service opportunities. Taylor's favorite thing about being a Community Advisor is getting to know her residents, many of which she has become close friends with and looks forward to doing in the future as well. Taylor currently lives in Yorktown Hall, and was a CA in Braddock Hall last year."
