Multicultural Competency & Education Program

The Multicultural Competency & Education Certificate Program equips students with the awareness, knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to navigate interpersonal interactions in an ever-changing diverse society. The program also prepares students to become effective agents of change in their occupational fields, communities, and families.

Requirements 
  • Successfully complete the Multicultural Competency & Education Summit (Must be completed first)
  • Be active in at least one multicultural student organization for a minimum of two consecutive semesters
  • Attend four Diversity Speaker Series presentations
  • Compose a five-page essay on your experiences throughout the program
  • Participate in an exit interview and focus group
