Fraternity men and sorority women are some of the most outstanding leaders in student organizations, campus activities, honor societies and athletic teams. Fraternities and sororities help students become strong leaders, gifted professionals and outstanding citizens. Fraternity and sorority life can be a valuable part of the college experience, and you are invited to get involved. Our fraternity and sorority community takes the lead in organizing and providing service to the campus and the community. The Interfraternity, Panhellenic, and National Pan-Hellenic Councils govern the fraternity and sorority community; each chapter provides leadership for its respective council. The groups oversee the educational, service and membership recruitment activities of the organizations. At least one campus faculty or staff member is directly involved with each chapter to provide guidance and enrich the experience for all involved.  Each spring the chapters host Greek Week, a week of athletic competitions, social events, philanthropic projects and educational activities.

RMU also hosts a chapter of the Order of Omega, a national honor society recognizing students who have attained a high level of leadership within the fraternity and sorority community while maintaining high academic standards.

The mission of fraternities and sororities is to uphold our common values of Friendship & Community, Leadership & Learning, and Service & Philanthropy every day by all fraternity and sorority chapters at Robert Morris University. The Office of Student Life pledges to work with all community stakeholders to cultivate an environment that is in congruence with and fosters a commitment to the core values of our respective organizations and Robert Morris University.

The vision for Greek Life is to create a model fraternity and sorority community at Robert Morris University that achieves national recognition for its commitment to honoring shared values, building empowered students, and creating engaged and successful alumni.
