About the Pantry

The university is pleased to offer this resource to our students.  Our pantry was established in Spring 2019 and is managed by the Center for Student Success under the direction of the Dean of Students Office.  The Colonial Cupboard is located on the 2nd floor of the Nicholson Center.  The pantry is designed to meet the immediate food needs for all of our currently registered students.  All undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to use the pantry as we know that food insecurity can impact the ability of our students to achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals.

Robert Morris University and the Colonial Cupboard are members of the College and University Food Bank Alliance.  For more information about the pantry, please contact the Center for Student Success at 412-397-6814 or

Given COVID-19 restrictions, the Colonial Cupboard is open on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Wednesdays.  Masks are required to be worn on campus and while visiting the Cupboard.

What to Expect

Students are welcome to visit the Center for Student Success during normal business hours to access the Colonial Cupboard.  Students interested in utilizing the pantry for the first time will be asked to complete an on-line registration form located at  The registration form helps us understand the needs of our students as well as to connect them with additional resources.  Our goal is to have a process in place that is quick, easy, and private.

Students will swipe their Freedom Card each time they visit the pantry.  We provide recyclable bags for students to use for their items, and students are invited to take what he/she may need.
