Eating Disorders

An eating disorder is a great disturbance to an eating behavior that jeopardizes a person's physical and psychological health. Eating disorders can stem from emotional problems, and relate to food, body image, and relationships with one's self and others. There are two main types of eating disorders. Anorexia Nervosa is where a person will starve him/herself to lose weight. On the other hand, a person who suffers from Bulimia Nervosa will binge and then purge, meaning he/she will consume large quantities of food and then get rid of that food by self-induced vomiting, fasting, severe diets, or vigorous exercise.
