Robert Morris Rugby has taken great strides as a club sport organization in recent years to become competitive nationally. In the Fall of 2014, the Rugby team had a very successful season, winning the Three Rivers Rugby Conference for the first time in team history. After winning the conference, the team qualified for the Division III national championship tournament and finished 7th in the final National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) rankings. The club itself had its beginnings in 2002, it has matched the growth and popularity of rugby across the nation.
Each spring the team typically plays in a large national tournament including "Nash Bash" in Nashville, TN, and the Cherry Blossom Tournament in Washington, D.C. With the newly formed Three River’s Rugby Conference and the growing success of the team, the outlook for the organization is very optimistic. The newly formed women’s team now provides the opportunity for both young men and women to enjoy this exciting sport and experience the great camaraderie associated with it.
